This Awesome Couple Simply Rocked their Tunnels Beaches Wedding!
Jenny should be your first choice
Jenny was fantastic and truly captured the fun, energy, emotion and joy of our wedding day. She went above and beyond our expectations, arriving early to capture us and our guests braving an April sea swim and staying beyond the first dance to catch some laugh-out-loud shots of us all on the dance floor.
As well as being professional, Jenny was super friendly and easy-going. She was a pleasure to have around and naturally blended amongst guests, always managing to be in the right place at the right time, but never in the way. The results speak for themselves and we absolutely love our photos.
If you’re looking for a wedding photographer who can capture candid, spontaneous and beautiful moments of your big day, Jenny should be your first choice.
Thank you again – we absolutely love our photos ❤ The hardest part is trying to pick our favourites!
Hope you have a wonderful summer and hopefully bump into you on the beach.
Warm wishes,
Candy & Jasper xx
This is Candy & Jasper’s Story
If you’ve not come across Tunnels Beaches, it’s a simply stunning location in Ilfracombe on Devon’s North coast. Access to its beautiful beaches involves a walk through four historic tunnels, hand-carved in the 1820’s.
Take a left after the first tunnel and you’ll come to Tunnels Beaches wedding venue, a truly unique and very special place, built into the cliffs and overlooking its own private beach.
Couples from all over the world choose to get married at Tunnels Beaches, attracted by its dramatic rugged coastline and friendly, informal atmosphere. I love photographing weddings there for the same reasons. Coupled with the fact that the venue attracts outdoorsy, nature-loving types who tend to favour my super relaxed and informal style of photography.
The couples who choose me to capture their special day at Tunnels Beaches come from all over the UK. But the couple featured in this wedding, Candy and Jasper, lived literally just down the road from me. When we met up for a pre-wedding chat, we connected instantly, and I knew theirs would be an amazing day, whatever the April weather decided to throw our way.
As it turned out, the sun shone down, providing the perfect excuse (if one were to be needed) for an early morning pre-wedding swim. Tunnels Beaches has the loveliest beautiful tidal pool, and on this occasion, the tides were perfect for the couple plus a few of their hardier friends and family to take a dip. I was invited to join them in the water, but with it being April (i.e. cold!), and having a long day ahead, I opted to stay beach-side with my camera. I was happy with my choice as there was certainly no shortage of great expressions to capture, against the most stunning backdrop. This for me is wedding heaven!
Invigorated from the swim, some of the guests set to work erecting the three tall flagpoles, strewn with white and peach coloured bunting. Decor that was simply perfect for a coastal breeze and deep blue sky.
Meanwhile, the Tunnels accommodation suites were packed to the rafters with friends and family, exchanging swimwear for partywear and popping open the champagne. It was just the most fantastic, happy atmosphere and so fun to capture.
And so the party begins! Hugs and celebrations all round, plus outdoor games, ice-cream and forays down to the beach.
Candy and Jasper wanted a giant party for all their family and friends, and that’s what they got! So much joy and laughter, continuing into the evening and onto the dancefloor with live music provided by Truly, Medley, Deeply.
I just hung out in the middle of it all soaking up the atmosphere and enjoying all the crazy antics from this fun-loving crowd. Such a fun day to be a part of, with literally never a dull moment. I love my job!
