Hi, I’m Jenny

Outside in nature – my happy place!
I’m based in Shoreham-by-Sea, just a stone’s throw from Brighton and nestled between the sea and the South Downs. It’s the perfect location for my love of the great outdoors!
I capture weddings in Sussex, Devon and throughout the South of England. I’m always happy to travel for couples who love my work. Many of my couples opt for gorgeous countryside barns or places close to the sea – relaxed venues surrounded by nature. Some have religious ceremonies, others shy away from tradition. But all of them want candid, unobtrusive photography to tell their unique story.
Not too keen on being photographed?
Maybe you’re a little anxious about being centre stage for the day?
You might even have considered not having a professional photographer, as posing really isn’t your thing.
Don’t worry, you’ve come to the right place!
I’m a people watcher, with a passion for capturing the perfect moment. I’ll mingle with you and your guests virtually unseen. You’ll receive a fantastic set of storytelling images full of fun and personality, to take you straight back to your amazing wedding day. Posing is most definitely NOT required!
You’re in safe hands
The quality of my work is recognised by the prestigious Royal Photographic Society (RPS), with whom I achieved my Licentiate in 2015.
In the ten years since, I’m proud to have received multiple awards from the RPS, as well as from world-renowned organisations representing documentary wedding photographers. These include: This is Reportage; Photographers Keeping It Real; and the Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA), including a Top 25 Global Ranking.
I’m also recommended as a trusted supplier at venues in Sussex and Devon, including Long Furlong Barn, Pangdean Old Barn and Tunnels Beaches.
But don’t just take my word for it
Whilst I enjoy competing on the documentary wedding stage, and challenging my creativity at each and every wedding, winning awards is only part of the story. It’s so much more important to me to know that my couples absolutely love their images and felt comfortable and relaxed on their special day.
Being transparent on client feedback is really important to me, and you can read all of my couples’ reviews in full from the past 3 years.

We were so grateful for you. You made it easy for us, captured all of our wonderful moments and kept it natural and real.

My family

Believe it or not from the photos, these are the people who keep me sane! We’re a close-knit team who share a love of sport and adventure and take every opportunity to travel and explore the world.
We lived in Miami, Florida for five years when the kids were small, which is when I seized the opportunity to turn my passion for photography into a career. This is the inspiration behind my palm tree logo, in case you were wondering!
Nearly 15 years and 250 weddings later, I still get excited about each and every wedding I’m a part of, and challenge myself to capture the most interesting and creative story-telling images for every single one of my couples.

I VOLUNTEER AT
I volunteer with Remember My Baby, a charity that offers a gift of remembrance photography to parents experiencing the loss of their baby.
I joined in 2019 and it’s some of the most challenging photography I do, but I feel honoured to capture these important memories and to help with the families’ grieving process in some small way.
IN MY SPARE TIME
I’m a real foodie with a love of travel, and when not photographing, enjoy nothing more than exploring new places with my husband.
Closer to home, I’m always happy surrounded by water or trees and make the most of where I live with sea swimming and long walks on the South Downs.
In May 2025 I’ll be taking a weekend off weddings to hike the 100km Jurassic Coast Ultra Challenge!
BEFORE BECOMING A WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
I’m proud to have co-written the winning bid to secure major funding from The National Lottery to set up The Recovery Project.
Run by Worthing-based charity, Turning Tides, the Recovery Project helps homeless men and women seeking safe accommodation with help to tackle their addiction to drugs and/or alcohol.
See me in action!
Being somewhat camera-shy myself (yes, you’re not alone!), I’m not normally a fan of being on the other side of the camera.
Apparently, however, some people want to see me at work. If you’re one of them, feel free to watch this little video taken at an intimate family wedding. You can read the couple’s testimonial below too!
We are so happy we chose Jenny to capture our wedding which ended up being caught up in the Covid-19 pandemic! The day wasn’t what we planned but we had what was important to us and that included Jenny as our photographer. She captured the day so naturally and beautifully. Thank you Jenny – if you want beautiful but natural photos to tell the story of your day – Jenny is your photographer.
