Awards and Aspirations
As part of my on-going development, I continue to invest in training, mentoring and learning. I’m an active member of several world-renowned photographic bodies, which deliver training via in-person and digital seminars, workshops, conferences, podcasts and competitions.
I believe that regularly entering top level competitions has really helped me to challenge myself, push my creative boundaries and keep my work fresh. Competing alongside the world’s best wedding photographers is a fantastic learning tool, always humbling and aspirational. And although winning is not my sole motivation for participating, I admit I am a competitive person, and it’s always amazing when it happens!
I am proud to have recently acheived professional awards and accolades with the following organisations:
Master Photographers Association (MPA)
with whom I obtained my Licentiate in 2015. I received Gold in the 2018 MPA Regional Print Wedding Awards and have also been awarded Gold, Silver and several Highly Commended accolades for images in the MPA montlhly competitions.
In 2020 I was proud to be awarded Merits for three of my images in the MPA 2020 Regional Wedding Awards for the South East.
Photographers Keeing It Real
an organisation which, as the name suggests, is 100% focused on documentary wedding photography. I won my first PKIR award shortly after joining the organisation in January 2020. The winning photo, which was one of my all time favourites, was subsequently nominated for Image of The Year.
This accolade resulted in me being chosen as a Competition Judge for the first time in May 2020, not only a great honour, but also a fantastic learning experience.
The Wedding Industry Awards (TWIA)
I was thrilled to be voted into the finals for TWIA 2020 South East Wedding Photographer of the Year. Only my clients from the last twelve months were eligible to vote, so it’s an acheivement I’m immensely proud of. You can read more about my award here!
