Cricket Anyone? Wedding Fun and Games at Long Furlong Barn

We have been blown away by the photos

Hi Jenny, What can we say? Thank you SO much! We have been blown away by the photos of our special day. We’ve lost count how many times we’ve watched the slideshow or looked through all of the photos… It’s been so nice to see the parts of the day that either of us weren’t there for and explain what was happening.

You captured the day, and how it felt, perfectly and we couldn’t be more grateful.

You have been so helpful and approachable from the outset and neither of us felt like we were on ‘show’ all day. You blended in with the guests seamlessly and we have had our guests comment on how brilliant you were. We loved that we could have our time as newlyweds captured but didn’t feel we were away from our guests for too long. We also love all of the natural photos of our guests and ourselves. You provided everything we wanted. Thank you!

We hope you enjoyed being part of our day, we’re so glad you were there! Thank you so you much,

Long Furlong Barn wedding at sunset

This is Lizzie and Will’s Story

I first met up with Lizzie and Will on their pre-wedding shoot which they’d opted to have amongst the Autumn leaves at Brighton’s Stanmer Park.  We hit it off straight away as we discussed the plans for their Long Furlong Barn wedding in August.

Will’s passion is cricket, and the couple wanted this to be a feature of their special day.  It was certainly the first time I’d seen a confetti arch made with guests holding up cricket bats, which made for some lovely and meaningfuly images for the couple.

The beautiful weather meant the groom and his friends were able to indulge their love of the sport into the evening with the picturesque South Downs as their backdrop.  Other guests played a game where you had to throw a beanbag into a hole on a wooden box (don’t ask me what it’s called!) and pretty much everyone enjoyed being outdoors with drinks just soaking up the evening sunlight.

The cricketers did a double take as a giant rubber duck and lady in a glitter-ball helmet walked across the pitch, but it was just Absolute Photo Booths making a grand entrance.

The cake cutting and couple’s first dance soon followed and Lizzie happily swapped her heels for Converse, personalised with her new surname.

Partying was in full swing, but I managed to get them off the dancefloor for 10 minutes to make the most of a simply stunning golden hour.  It was the perfect end to Lizzie and Will’s perfect day, and I couldn’t have been happier for them.

Planning a relaxed wedding at Long Furlong Barn or another of the many beautiful barns in East and West Sussex?  I’d love to capture your story!
